Ruth G. Simer

RUTH G. SIMER (nee Gleason), age 93, passed away Feb. 10, 2019. She was born on Sept. 4, 1925 in Erie, PA to Walter and Hazel (nee Brindle) Gleason. Beloved wife for 55 years of the late Newton D., loving mother of Robert (Linda), Walter (Janet) and Jeffrey (deceased) (Brenda), dear grandmother of Brian, Brent (Danielle), Lauren and Lea Simer and Michelle Miller (Tanner), great-grandmother of Mason and Ellie Ruth. Ruth was a graduate of Grove City College and an active member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was a lifetime Presbyterian and a member of the Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church for 57 years.

Funeral services Friday, Feb. 15, at Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church at 1:30 PM. Burial following in Acacia Memorial Park. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Ruth at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 3-7 PM. The family wishes to thank the management and staff of Governor’s Village and the nurses of Hillcrest Hospital Hospice for their care and support.
