Rosemarie Nelson

Rosemarie Nelson (nee Ritondaro) age 93, formerly of Chesterland and Arlington, VA, passed away November 6, 2015 in Marietta, GA.

As a young girl, Rosemarie got a job working for the U.S. Government in Germany where she met the love of her life and married Jimmy C. Nelson from Texas, who preceded her in death in 1967. While in Arlington, VA, Rosemarie worked in Washington, DC at Andrews Airforce Base, Smithsonian Institute, and was a volunteer at the U.S.O. While in Washington, Rosemarie met many famous people, including President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, and has a beloved photo with them. She also attended the 1993 Inaugural Ball of President Bill Clinton.

Rosemarie is survived by her brother John (Maggie, deceased) Ritondaro and many fond nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nick and Rose (nee Mitchko) Ritondaro and siblings Frieda (Harold) Williamson, Dorothy Darrah, Dick (Ruth) Ritondaro, Edward (Tillie) Ritondaro and Mary (Carl) Gundersen.
