Ronald Strong

RONALD RICHARD STRONG age 78, beloved husband of the late Carol Strong (nee Coogle); loving father of Kenneth R. Strong (deceased) (wife Tammy) and Barbara A Lustik (husband Gene Jr.); devoted grandfather (Papa) of John II, Tabitha (husband Matthias), Rachel, Anthony, Austin, and Zackary; cherished son of the late Richard and Ella; dearest brother of Sandra G. Feucht (Steve); brother-in-law of Bob Feucht, James Coogle (deceased), Jack and Ester Coogle (deceased), Betty and Jack Curle (deceased), and Rick Coogle.

Ron was born on January 26, 1944 and passed away on February 19, 2022. Above all things, Ron loved his family. He enjoyed boating and going on vacations, but most of all he enjoyed being outdoors soaking up the sun. When not outdoors, he enjoyed scratching lottery tickets, watching game shows, going to the casino, and an occasional Johnny Walker Black on the rocks. He was always looking for a willing participant to listen to one of his many stories. He had a unique way of delivering them, as his glass was always half full. You left with the feeling that you just met the most positive person in the world after having a conversation with Ron. Amazingly he did all this while living with M.S. (multiple sclerosis) for 53 years!!! He never let it stop him or be a burden to anyone he was with. “I can do it!!!”, he would say. He truly embodied his last name, STRONG. That is what carried him through all of his adversity.

When God called and said, “Let’s make a deal”. No sense in putting you in anymore “Jeopardy “, Ron said, “The Price Is Right”. He didn’t even have to buy a vowel.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, with a final resting place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
