RONALD M. KNAZEK age 69, beloved husband of the late Suzanne Damsel-Knazek (nee Stawicki); cherished son of the late Aloysius and Agnes (nee Sabovik); dearest brother of Richard (wife Molly), Kathy Schuster, Gerald (wife Jeanette) and the late Susan Bartlett; dear uncle of Megan Beck (husband Jeremy), Brian Schuster (wife Kelley), Natalie Kattwinkel (husband Eric), Keith Schuster (wife Lisa) and Rebeccah Bartlett; treasured great-uncle to 9 grand nieces and nephews.
Ronald was born October 13, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Cathedral Latin High School in 1973, he continued on to receive his bachelor's degree from John Carroll University in 1978. Benefitting from that education, he excelled as an advertising sales representative for the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The interesting world of CB radios attracted Ronald where he was well known by his call name of “Dispatcher”. A significant part of Ronald’s life was devoted to sports. He was a body builder who volunteered as a strength coach for John Carroll University and had the unique opportunity to attend the Olympic training camp for racquetball. And, of course, season after season he was cheering on the Cavs, Indians and Browns as an avid fan. Rightfully known as the class clown, Ronald was very social in his wide circle of friends and could instantly light up a room. He will be remembered for his kind and generous heart and his prayerful devotion to his faith. Above all, family was at the center of his attention and they will forever miss his hearty laugh, his contagious smile and his loving personality.
Contributions may be made in memory of Ronald to Sisters of Notre Dame, 13000 Auburn Road, Chardon, OH 44024 or online at https://sndusa.org/donate .
