Roland Grabfelder

ROLAND GRABFELDER., age 84. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy J. (nee Hendershot). Loving father of Dale (wife Loretta) and Russ (wife Michelle). Dearest father-in-law of Peggy Grabfelder. Devoted grandfather of Amy Maloney (husband Michael), Megan Mauceri (husband John), Jill, Justin, Ryan and great-grandfather of Ella, Ryan and Caitlin. Treasured son of the late George A. and Edna (nee Brandonberg) Cherished brother of the late George A., Jr and Betty Novack. Dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

A resident of Mayfield Heights for 62 years, formerly of Cleveland, Roland passed away March 31, 2012, at Hillcrest Hospital. He was born May 23, 1927, in Cleveland. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, member of Mayfield Boy’s Baseball League, and member of Board of Zoning Appeals for Mayfield Heights. Roland enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. His family remembers him as an easy going, gentle giant with a big heart. Roland retired as a sales engineer.

Prayers of Christian Burial Wednesday April 4, 2012 at 10 AM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.). Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Roland at the Funeral Home TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
