RODNEY D. JAGEL age 75, beloved husband for 50 years of Cheryl (nee Trentanelli); cherished son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (nee Tkacz); dearest brother of Pamela Warner and Sharon Jagel; devoted brother-in-law of Maria and Frank Salamone, Paul Trentanelli (fiancé Annette Beck), and Lynnann Trentanelli; dear uncle of 11, great-uncle of 17, and friend of many. U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
Rodney was born on October 28, 1945, in Cleveland and passed away on July 1, 2021. He was a resident of Wadsworth for the past 26 years. Rodney attended Brecksville High School and was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He was a dedicated Manufactures Sales Rep. working for many cigar companies. He enjoyed collecting guns, knives, and motorcycles in his free time. Rodney loved garage sales and flea markets, and even furnished his lake house with his discoveries. He also enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas with Cheryl and playing the slot machines. Rodney was independent, social, and personable. He was a great salesman and storyteller, with a sense of humor. Rodney will be dearly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Rodney to Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village or Cleveland Animal Protective League.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH 44026 at 11AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rodney at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) TUESDAY MORNING 9:00-10:30 AM.
