Roberta Louise Valentino

ROBERTA LOUISE VALENTINO (nee Wilenius), 84, beloved mother of Joseph Galati, Charles Galati (Lynne), and Gregory Giesse (Julie), loving grandmother of Joey, Ashley, Chuck (Bridget), Mathew, and Jessica Galati, Lauren Russell (Jesse), and Brandon and Kyle Giesse, dearest great-grandmother of Aidan, Noah, and Ian Galati and Layla Russell, cherished sister of Robert Wilenius (Francine), devoted aunt and great-aunt.

Roberta was a resident of South Euclid for the last 50 years. She enjoyed decorating her house with the changing seasons and holidays for her neighbors to enjoy. You could find her working in her yard as it was bursting with flowers, always making sure that her bird feeders were full for her feathered friends. Roberta was grateful for her mailmen, delivery drivers and neighbors over the years, especially Felicia and Leon.

Roberta had wonderful careers at Giovanni’s Ristorante and then Mario’s International Spa. She was well respected and extremely skilled. She was very social, enjoying interactions with people, creating many lifelong friendships and truly cherishing those people that shared her life’s journey.

Roberta loved to travel, collecting many souvenirs from around the world, always with a story to go with those mementos. Roberta had a very creative soul. She was a member of the Cleveland Museum of Art, keeping very active while enjoying art, fashion, entertaining, decorating, and connecting with the people around her.

There are many people who were very important in her life, but she knew in her heart that Bill Giesse was her one true love. Unfortunately, he was taken from her far too early, but now they are together again.

In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to The Cleveland Museum of Art.

Private family service with a Celebration of Life to be held in the future. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
