Robert Alan Vargo

ROBERT ALAN VARGO age 68, beloved husband of the late Valerie (nee DeLaney); loving father of Peter; cherished son of the late Louis and Jennie (nee Yannella); dearest brother of Dale (wife Judy), Todd (wife Lianne), Alex and Bryan (wife Kimberly); treasured brother-in-law of Kevin & Cynthia DeLaney and Kathleen & Rick Gillespie; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. 

Born on April 21, 1956 and raised in the Cleveland area, Robert graduated from Max S. Hayes High School with the Class of 1974. This hard working and determined man went on to spend many years working for General Electric as a skilled tool and die maker. His pleasurable activities included cheering on whichever Cleveland sports team was in season and traveling to Florida to soak up the warmth. On March 1, 2025, this friendly, social and gentle man passed away leaving his family missing his humor and easy-going ways.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert to the American Society for the Blind. 

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, OH at 11AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Robert at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 4-8PM.
