Robert V. Nocente

ROBERT V. NOCENTE age 89, beloved husband of the late Adeline (nee Rossi); loving father of Robert M. and Anita; devoted grandfather of Dina, Nicole Galatis-Gerome (husband Matthew) and the late Jason Galatis and great-grandfather of Jameson, Justice and Aiden; cherished son of the late Amedeo and Phyllis (nee Bowker); dearest brother of Albert and the late Raymond (wife Irene), Irene Murphy (husband Gene, deceased) and Dorothy Pughelli (husband R. William, deceased) ; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran.

Bob was born March 14, 1929 in Canada and passed away May 25, 2018 in Mayfield Heights where he was a resident for 52 years. He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a member of the ISDA. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as an electrician after being discharged. He enjoyed golf, bocce, poker and horse racing. Bob was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs. He will be remembered most as an outgoing, funny, witty, social and friendly man who loved to sing at parties and tell jokes. Bob was very traditional, athletic and strong willed. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040. Burial following with Military Honors at Whitehaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
