Robert Leden

ROBERT S. LEDEN age 63, beloved husband for 37 years of Margaret “Margie” (nee Kastigar); loving father of David (wife Dani) and Erich; devoted grandfather of Derek, Magdelene, and Eve; cherished son of the late Gordon and Veronica (nee Vallo); dearest brother of Gordon Jr. (wife Barbara) and Gary (wife Barbara); treasured son-in-law of Josephine and the late Frank Kastigar; cherished brother-in-law of Natalie and Jack Bowser and Elenore Backman; dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Robert was born June 16, 1954 in Cleveland and passed away May 1, 2018. He grew up in Garfield Heights, Chesterland, Cleveland, Euclid and Concord. He recently moved to Hamden where he was a resident for the last 2 years. He attended Cathedral Latin High School and graduated from West Geauga High School in 1972. Robert and Margaret were married at St. Mary Catholic Church in Collinwood in 1981 and were both members of the Slovenska Pristava Pensioners Club. He was an inspector for TRW and retired from PAKO in 2011. Robert enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, coaching basketball, and classic cars, especially Corvettes. He was a fan of the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. Robert will be remembered most as a family-oriented man who was very loving, devoted and faithful to his family. He was a jokester who was very outgoing and always on time. Robert will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 15519 Holmes Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Robert at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 2-8 PM.
