Robert F. Kavalecz

ROBERT F. KAVALECZ age 66. Beloved husband for 42 years of Patricia (nee Currey). Loving father of Kellie Abbott (Brian), Josef (Sarah) and Nicole Bursh (Andrew). Devoted grandfather of 5. Dearest brother of William (Patricia).

Bob was a US Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. He was a resident of Chardon for 58 years previously residing in Cleveland. After graduating from Chardon High School, Bob got his Associate’s Degree from Lakeland Community College and worked as an IT Project Manager for various companies as an independent contractor. He was a faithful member of St. Mary Church for 42 years and taught at Lakeland Community College. In his free time, Bob enjoyed bowling, golf, old cars, dancing and listening to music from the 60’s. He was an energetic, generous, man who had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being around people. More than anything he loved his family and spending time with them.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to Taussig Cancer Institute. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North St., Chardon. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob immediately following the Mass at St Mary Church.
