ROBERT E. SZANISZLO, aged 88 years, beloved husband for 60 years to Marjorie M. (nee Oaks), dear father of Sandra Doran (William – deceased), Linda Rudy (Thomas), Cynthia Antczak (Robert) and Charles R., loving grandfather of Kelly Cantwell (Brandon), Stephanie Doran-Brubaker (Douglas), Bethany and Tyler Rudy, and Samantha and Matthew Antczak, devoted brother of Elmer (Louise) (both deceased), fond uncle, great-uncle and friend to many. United States Navy Veteran. Contributions in memory of Bob suggested to the Cleveland Sight Center, or to Vinney Hospice at Montefiore.

Robert E. Szaniszlo was born in Cleveland, OH on October 16, 1930 and passed away peacefully May 16, 2019. He was a resident of Cleveland for his entire life. Bob was a member of Noble Road Presbyterian Church for 50 years and was a Deacon there. He graduated from East Tech and attended college at Fenn University. He was a mail carrier, businessman and after retirement he was a Page at the library. Prior to that Bob also worked at GE and the IRS. He liked to golf, read and play games. Bob enjoyed watching Cleveland State Basketball and horse racing. Robert loved to spend time with his family. He cherished the times of celebrating birthdays and holidays and playing Knock. Bob liked to coach blind golf. He will be remembered as a friendly, fun loving man that was grateful for his family and friends. Bob was a hard worker who loved to joke and never knew a stranger.

Funeral services Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the funeral home at 11 AM. Following a luncheon, burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery (Twinsburg). Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Bob at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) MONDAY 3-5 AND 6-8 PM.
