ROBERT E. DARBY, SR. age 74, beloved husband for 54 years of Antoinette “Toni” (nee Juliano); loving father of Robert E., Jr. (wife Holly), Edward J. (wife Pamela) and Scott M. (wife Patricia); devoted grandfather of Sean D. and Kayla N. Darby and Avery McNabb; cherished son of the late Lawrence E., Sr. and Mildred A. (nee Seese); dearest brother of the late Betty Contesti (husband Albert, deceased), Rhoda Kinkead (husband Ralph, deceased), Lawrence, Jr.(wife Audrey) and Audrey Masters (husband Phillip); dear uncle, great-uncle and great-great uncle of many. Survived by his canine companion Beau.

Robert was born on September 17, 1943 in Bobtown, Pennsylvania and passed away on January 11, 2018. He was a resident of Willoughby Hills for one and a half years, formerly of Reminderville and Mayfield Heights. Robert was involved with the RCIA program at the Church of St. Clare. He graduated from Shaw High School in 1963 and worked as a machinist for Falon which became Swagelok. Robert loved bowling, golf, fishing and camping. He was a Browns and Indians fan. Robert coached Little League and was active in Cub Scouts. He will be remembered most as a happy, outgoing, strong-willed, witty and social man with a sense of humor. Robert was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Noel Catholic Church. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
