Robert D. Cook

ROBERT D. COOK age 84, beloved husband of Cindy (nee Hall) and the late Shirley M. Cook (nee Satkovic); loving father of Robert, MD, Jerome, Esq., Sheryl Dunne (husband Doug), and Kathy. Step-father of Kelly Kosmala and Tom Klocker (wife Alison); devoted grandfather of Jamie Zinn, Cassar, Cameron, Carson and Peyton Cook and step-grandfather of Casey Kosmala, Alix Kosmala, Owen Klocker and Olivia Klocker and great-grandfather of Jacob Zinn; cherished son of the late Cassar and Helen (nee Peters); dearest brother of Gary (wife Pat) and Dennis (wife Linda); dear uncle of many.

Bob was born May 4, 1933 at St. Luke’s Hospital and passed away on March 31, 2018 following a comprehensive illness. He was a resident of Wickliffe for over 60 years. Bob attended Collinwood High School. He worked for Chase Brass & Copper for 30 years and was self-employed as a printing broker for 10 years. He retired at age 62, but rejoined the workforce as an employee of The Cleveland Clinic, Hillcrest Hospital, and continued to work full-time until age 82. He was an avid golfer – golf was his passion – and he was on many Wickliffe golf and bowling leagues. Bob loved family holidays and birthdays and he was always about the other person. He was very engaging, friendly and had a great sense of humor and style. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Bob to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY MORNING 10-11 AM with a Celebration of Life Service following at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME.
