ROBERT F. COOK, aged 93 years, retired Detective Cleveland Police Department, loving husband for 66 years to the late Rosemary (nee Cooper), dear father of Kathleen Myers, Maureen Stolarski (deceased), Thomas (deceased), Robert M. (Mary), Mary E. Collingwood (Richard), Rosemary Hipp (Howard), Loretta Lipold (Frank), Joseph (Laura), Marjorie Virant (Louis), and Patricia Elkins (Scott), cherished grandfather of 48, great-grandfather of 23 and great-great grandfather of 1, devoted son of the late Jay and Agnes (nee Cotter), cherished brother of the late Marie Coyne and Edward Cook.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH. 44110.

Bob was born on Nov. 6, 1922 in Cleveland. He was a long time resident of Cleveland, before moving to Willoughby Hills 5 ½ years ago. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, assigned to the South Pacific Theatre. He served as a Cleveland Police Detective with the Central Division, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed gardening, but his passion was his devotion to his family. He looked forward to the holiday parties, and any occasion that brought the family together.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 4, 2016, at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills (44094) at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Bob at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
