Robert “Carl” Liedtke

ROBERT “CARL” LIEDTKE age 81 of Chardon, Ohio passed away April 12, 2022 following a challenging battle with cancer. Carl will be dearly missed by his family that survives him. His dear and loving partner Donna (nee Linnert); cherished children Laura (Dan) Grajzl, Bryan Liedtke, and Michelle (Keith) Gamiere. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Daniel, Vanessa, David, Tommy, and Noelle. He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Eleanor (nee Norgren) and his dearest brother Frederick “Fred” (Norrine). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews that he deeply appreciated. Carl loved the Engineering Field.

He was employed by Eaton Manufacturing and Parker Hannifin until his retirement. In his spare time, he kept busy working on automobiles. Carl enjoyed testing his skills on the golf course. However, he especially enjoyed sharing a bright sunny day fishing with his son and grandchildren.

We, the family, will deeply miss our very special moments together. Carl, may you find the rest you so beautifully deserve.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Carl to either the University Hospitals, the Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northeast Region, PO Box 31907, Independence, OH 44131-4854, or to a local charity of your choice.

The family will welcome friends for visitation at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 3-4:30 PM.

A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 4:30 PM.
