Robert Bencic

Robert J. Bencic., age 85. Passed away peacefully on Sunday April 24^th. He was the loving and devoted husband for 62 years of Helen. (nee Asseg). Devoted father of Bob (Laurie), Michael (Linda), Barbara Clark (Bill), Tim (Maryann), Marianne Hansen, David (Michelle) Loving grandfather Jennifer Cooper (Andy), Jeff, Rachel Hamilton (Joel), Dan, Sara, Mary Martha, Leni, Tim, Matthew, Carrie, Andrew, Alicia, David, Christopher and Joe (Maura) and great-grandfather of Jona, Benjamin and Lily.  He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Olga (nee Gulic) and brother Ozzie (Helen).

He was a  U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a dedicated volunteer with several charitable organizations. Robert was a avid sailor, fisherman and fine woodworker. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Rose-Mary Center, 19350 Euclid Ave., Euclid, OH 44117.

Mass Of Christian Burial Saturday, April 30th at St. Augustine  Church, 2486 W. 14^th Street, Cleveland, OH at 1:30 PM. Interment All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Robert at the MULLALLY FUNERAL HOME located in the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD, (between Bishop Rd and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 2-4 and 6-8 PM. AND SATURDAY 12:30 – 1:30 PM  AT CHURCH.
