Rita M. Mckeon

RITA M. McKEON (nee Noonan) age 83, beloved wife of the late Joseph M., Jr. DBA; loving mother of Joseph M. III, Jean Billick (husband Steven) and Janice Eva (husband W. Allan); devoted granny of Carolyn Billick (husband Leo McNeeley), Brian Billick, twins William IV and Allison Eva, and great-granny of Danica McNeeley; cherished daughter of the late John M. and Catherine (nee Hayes) Noonan; dearest sister-in-law of Richard D. and Rosemary McKeon; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Rita was born on April 5, 1934 in Cleveland and passed away on November 22, 2017. She was a resident of Kirtland for 12 years, formerly of Bratenahl. Rita was a member of St. John Cathedral and Divine Word Catholic Church. She was a member of the East Side Irish-American Club. Rita graduated from Ursuline Academy of Sacred Heart High School and Cuyahoga Community College and worked as a Registered Nurse for Hillcrest Hospital. She loved reading, politics and listening to Irish harp music. Rita was a world traveler, visiting around 20 countries in her life. China, Ireland and Paris were some of Rita’s favorite places she visited. Rita will be remembered most as an insightful, giving, reserved and very intellectual woman who had an Irish humor. She was devoted to her family, faith and profession. Rita will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Rita to Arden Courts of Chagrin Falls  8100 E Washington St, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Divine Word Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at Kirtland South Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rita at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-7 PM.
