RICHARD J. MACKO, age 78. Beloved husband for 43 years of the late Joanne R. (nee Slivka). Loving father of Nancy L. Rancourt (husband John), Thomas M. (wife Carmen, nee Sabatino) and Gina M. Prayner (husband Andrew). Treasured grandfather of James, Andre, Stefan, Jonathan, Thomas, Alyssa, Nicholas and Samantha. Cherished son of the late George and Helen (nee Balata). Dearest brother of William (wife Angela), Mildred Kapes (husband Bernard, deceased), George (wife Joyce, deceased) and Virginia Rusk (husband Stanley). Devoted friend of Coletta Kilton. Dear uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. Rich was a frequent volunteer at the St Noel Fish Fry and a Eucharistic Minister and Renewal member at St Clare Church. He volunteered at the Food Bank and was a member of the Thursday Hackers Club. Rich loved golf, fishing, gardening and claimed to grow the largest zucchinis in Mayfield Hts, he was a golden glove boxer, was an excellent bowler, played class A baseball and loved to make beef jerky. He was also know for his famous ‘Bronson Chili ‘. Rich’s family remembers him as full of life and one who loved life. He was strong and very outgoing and people seemed to be drawn to him. He was very family oriented, very handy.
