RICHARD L. SIMENC age 71, beloved husband for 46 years of Theresa (nee Chiancone); loving father of Jeffrey (wife Kelly), Jennifer Morrow (husband Jason), Michael, (wife Hallie), and Matthew (wife Cori); devoted grandfather of Madelyn, Julia, Clara, Lauren, Benjamin, Charles, Emma, Sofia, and Ellie; cherished son of the late Louis and Josephine (nee Zupancic); dearest brother of Robert (wife Lynn), Sandra Grisez (husband Donald), Timothy (wife Susan), and Thomas (wife Bridget); nephew of Jack Simenc; treasured son-in-law of the late Charles and Theresa Chiancone; fond brother-in-law of the late Charles Jr. “Murph” and Ronald Chiancone; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Rich was born on March 13, 1947 in Cleveland and passed away on November 7, 2018. He was a resident of Euclid for 46 years formerly of Richmond Heights. Rich was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1965. Rich retired from General Motors in 2008 as a tool and die maker. He loved fishing, shooting, camping, boating and family vacations to Myrtle Beach. Rich was a Browns, Indians and Cavs fan. He enjoyed making trips to Sam’s Club. Rich was the life of the party and fun to be with. He will be remembered most as a friendly, funny, witty and family-oriented man who had a sense of humor. Rich was handy, hard-working and could fix anything. No one was a stranger to Rich, he was always generous and giving of his time. Rich will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, November 12, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rich at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-7 PM.
