Richard Filion

RICHARD T. FILION age 85, beloved husband for 61 years of Bethine (nee Blach); loving father of Gregory, Paul, Scott, and Laura; devoted grandfather of Maggie, Brennan, Kyle and Jack.

Richard was born on July 26, 1931 in Cleveland and passed away on August 18, 2016. He was a resident of Richmond Heights for 56 years. Richard was a faithful parishioner of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church since its opening 60 years ago and attended daily mass regularly. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School and was a Production Control Manager for General Electric. Richard loved to swing dance with his wife and spend time with his family. He enjoyed golfing and gardening with his green thumb. Family and friends will remember Richard as a loyal, caring, selfless and charitable man. Richard was generous, kind, wise, and a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation by DeJOHN CREMATORY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10 AM, at SAINT PASCHAL BAYLON CATHOLIC CHURCH 5384 Wilson Mills Rd, Highland Heights, Ohio 44143. Burial following with Military Honors at ALL SOULS CEMETERY. Family will receive friends to pay Tribute to and celebrate the life of Richard at THE CHURCH from 9 AM to 10 AM. Richard’s care is entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
