RICHARD E. “RICH” GORNIK age 71, beloved son of the late Elmer and Helen (nee Ruzic); dearest brother of Diane Schaffer, Robert (wife Mary), and the late Ronald; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. Rich was born on July 1, 1946 and sadly passed away on November 14, 2017. He graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1964 and served his country in the U.S. Army. Rich worked as a Brakeman for Penn Central Railroad. He was a Cleveland Indians Fan, loved listening to the games and loved listening to 60’s music. Rich had a sweet tooth and loved candy and drinking Coca Cola. He got the most enjoyment out of life by spending time with his family. Rich was kind hearted, loving, giving, loyal, and family oriented. He was a hard worker and proud to serve his country. Rich will be dearly missed by all.
Celebration of Life Service SATURDAY November 18, 2017 at 1:30 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rich at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
