RICHARD CONRAD COMISKEY, aged 82 years, former radio personality in Cleveland and Hilton Head, beloved son of the late Walter and Margaret (nee Gilmoure), cherished brother of William (wife Frances), and the late Robert, loving uncle and great-uncle. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Richard was born on June 8, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a radio personality for many years in Cleveland, continued his work in Hilton Head, and then returned to Cleveland 12 years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed the holiday get-togethers with his family. He was a loving and devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews and their families. Richard enjoyed a good party. While living at the Carlyle in Lakewood, he hosted his annual broadcaster’s Christmas party with many local personalities in attendance. He enjoyed American classic music – the big bands and Tony Bennett among his favorites.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in the Marian Chapel of Gesu Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following with military honors in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Richard at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on FRIDAY from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
