Richard Christensen

RICHARD “RICH” CHRISTENSEN age 65, beloved son of Margaret (nee Kelly) Christensen; and dear family member and friend of many.

Rich was born on August 21, 1952 and passed away on May 24, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Lake County, most recently Mentor. Rich graduated from St. Joseph High School and proudly worked as a machine operator at Star Precision Technologies, where he retired from in 2016. Rich was a sports fanatic and an avid Cleveland sports fan. He greatly enjoyed playing softball. Rich loved reading about the Civil War and even traveled to a new battle field each year. He also enjoyed walking his dogs in his free time. Rich was generous, easy going, and always went with the flow. His family and friends find peace knowing that he is happily reunited with his mother. Rich will be dearly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Rich to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17816 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH 44024. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rich at THE CHURCH TUESDAY MORNING 9-10 AM. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro).
