RICHARD A. BECK, age 87, beloved husband of Susan Beck (nee Grisard) for 39 years; loving father of Lorraine Miheli (Eddie) and Lonny Beck; devoted grandfather of Lauren Schmidt (Nick) and Nicholas Beck; and great-grandfather of Ava Schmidt; cherished son of the late Frank Beck and Mary Beck (nee Bajt).

Richard was born on Jan 6, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated in 1956 from Collinwood High School before continuing his education at Fenn College. He settled down in Kirtland, Ohio, where he proceeded to build a successful business. He was a registered architect in Ohio and founder of Richard A. Beck & Associates who always wanted to help people have their dream homes. Richard was best described as a workaholic who was time oriented, organized, and well educated in his field. He was a proud member of the Building Officials Conference of Northeast Ohio (BOCONEO), and used his talents as an architect to volunteer at the Holden Arboretum, where he was also a long time member and his kindness touched the lives of everyone there. Additionally, he was past president and vice president of the St. Clair Rifle & Hunting Club for many years and a top shooter. When he wasn't working, Richard could be found trap shooting, fishing, and traveling the world. He passed away on Jan 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of breathtaking buildings and unlimited compassion. A private graveside service will take place at Cavalry Cemetery.
