Rev. Fr. Francis G. Vanbergen

REV. FR. FRANCIS G. VanBERGEN, aged 84 years, beloved son of the late Frank W. and Marcella (nee Wagner), dear brother of Phyllis McNally (husband Thomas “?? deceased), Edward J. (Shirley Vokac), Florence Wukovich (husband Nick “?? deceased) and the late Jeanne and Marcia VanBergen and Rosemary Busher (husband John “?? deceased), loving uncle of 21 nieces and nephews and great-uncle. Fr. Frank was ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Diocese of Cleveland in June of 1956, and served at St. Peter Parish (Akron), St. Leo, St. Henry, St. Catherine, Pastor of St. Clare, Immaculate Conception (Willoughby), Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Wickliffe) and St. Gregory the Great, retiring in 2003. Contributions in memory of Fr. Frank suggested to St. Augustine Health Campus, 7801 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44102. The family will receive clergy and friends on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.). Vespers will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25,2012 at 3:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1545 S. Green Rd., South Euclid, with Visitation concluding with a Mass at 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November. 26, in the Church at 11:00 AM. Most Rev. Richard G. Lennon, Principal Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
