REGINA M. “JEAN” HEISLER (nee Lavins) age 96, beloved wife for 67 years of the late Douglas; loving mother of Regina Marie Collins (husband Fran), Douglas (wife Cheri, deceased), Ann Van Sickle (husband Richard), Michael (wife Jean), Patricia Heisler, Roberta Williams (husband Glenn), James (wife Betsy), Kathleen Roman (husband Michael) and John (wife Barbara); devoted grandmother of 27 and great-grandmother of 27; dearest sister of Genevieve Lohmueller (husband Herbert, deceased) and the late Bernard Lavins (wife Catherine); dear aunt and great-aunt of many. WWII U.S. Navy Veteran.
Jean was born on September 24, 1920 in Washington D.C. and passed away on May 25, 2017. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 10 years, formerly of Lyndhurst. Jean was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Woman Guild. She was a member of Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary and Gardens Club. Jean graduated from High School in Washington D.C. and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Catholic University. She was a homemaker, an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. Jean will be remembered most as a gracious lady and the matriarch of the family. She was faithful, very positive and had a sense of humor. Jean will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 3, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM with Military Honors to follow. Family will receive friends at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 2-4 & 5-8 PM.
