Funeral services for Raymond W. Leveranz, 86, of Chesterland, will be held privately at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
Mr. Leveranz died Thursday, July 24, at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born on May 11, 1928 in Cleveland. He was a 39 year resident of Chesterland, previously residing in North Royalton. He retired in 1983 from the Higbee Co., where he had worked as director of computer operations. Mr. Leveranz was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He enjoyed golfing and gardening in his yard, and was a member of the Young of Hearts Club in Chesterland.
Ray is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia C. (Yates), a daughter, a son-in-law, and many loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert C. and Ruth (nee Adamec).
There will be no visitation. Contributions in memory of Ray suggested to the Salvation Army of Chardon, 209 Center St., Chardon, Ohio 44024, or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
