U.S. Army Vietnam Conflict Veteran.
Randy was born in Cleveland on November 22, 1948 and passed away peacefully at home in the morning of August 2. He was a long-time resident of South Euclid for over 50 years. After graduating from Collinwood High School in 1966, Randy served in the 11th Armored Calvary of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Randy went on to become a master mechanic and worked at Commerce Ford, Ohio Bulk Transfer, Azko Noble/Cargill where he proudly served as a union steward, and most recently Legend Lakes Golf Course. His hobbies included fishing, trivia games, watching the Game Show Network, and old movies, especially westerns. He was also a Cleveland sports fan. His favorite music included the Doors, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Moody Blues, Bob Segar, and Motown.
By far, the most enjoyment in life came from Randy spending time with family. He also enjoyed helping others, which was evident when he would help fix cars for many who couldn’t afford it. He also dedicated himself to the church festivals for his church, St. Gregory the Great in South Euclid.
His favorite holidays included Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving, where he loved playing games with his family. His family describes Randy as being gentle, easy-going, peaceful, and a true “man’s man”. In his spare time, he would tinker and fix things. He was a hard worker, and was faithful, and faith-filled. He will be dearly missed.
