Randall L. Bartell

RANDALL L. BARTELL age 85, beloved husband for 64 years of Edith “Ede” (nee Toth); loving father of Mark; devoted grandfather of Julia Orzen (husband Cameron); cherished son of the late Willis A. and Doris K. (nee Noble); dearest brother of James (wife Karen), Richard (wife Jennifer) and the late William; dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many. 

Randy was born April 17, 1939 in Oak Harbor, Ohio and graduated from Shaker Heights High School with the class of 1957. This intelligent individual continued his education, obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. During his early high school years, he fell in love with Ede and lovingly shared the next 70 years with her – 64 of those as husband and wife. While he and Ede raised their son Mark, Randy held a sales position with A.E. Ehrke & Company and eventually as the Vice President. Always smiling and outgoing, Randy enjoyed spending time golfing at the Canterbury Golf Club, sailing on Lake Erie, and traveling around the US and Europe. He was also a builder of model boats and a card shark, especially when playing gin. His large circle of friends will remember him as a witty character with a fun sense of humor, who lived life to the fullest. At the age of 85, Randy left this earth. His family will forever miss his strength, love and devotion.
