Ralph Ponsart

Ralph J. Ponsart, age 87. Beloved husband for 62 years of M. Elynor (nee Wittrup). Loving father of David (wife Karla) and Allen (wife Michele). Devoted grandfather of Laurianne, Katie, Greg, and Kirsten. Dear brother of Mary Lou D’Alessandris (husband Louis deceased), Charles (wife Shirley), Donald (wife Jan) (both deceased), Henry (deceased) (wife Emmaline Michalski) and Elizabeth Kirchner (husband Melvin) (both deceased).

Ralph was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. A resident of Euclid for 52 years, Ralph retired after 44 years of employment as a foreman in the shipping and receiving department for General Electric at the Cleveland Bulb Plant. He was a member of Shoregate United Methodist Church and a member and usher at the former Masters Church. He was also a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge #651 F&AM (formerly Raymer Covenant Masonic Lodge), Woodward Council, Mt. Olive Royal Arch and a past patron of Western Reserve Order of the Eastern Star and Treasurer of Euclid High 12.

Celebration of Life Service Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11 am the Funeral Home. Interment with military honors at Crown Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ralph at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-5 P.M. Masonic Service Sunday 4 P.M.
