Ralph Joseph Voracek

Ralph J. Voracek, age 52, of Willoughby Hills, OH passed away unexpectedly January 19, 2011. He was born on March 12, 1958 in Cleveland, attended Maple Hts. high school and graduated from Thiel College where he was a member of the varsity football team. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed golf and was involved in coaching and managing little league baseball teams. He loved spending time with his family, playing pinochle, and taking his son to sporting events.

He was employed as a Financial Planner for 30 years by Axa Equitable where he enjoyed a distinguished career and earned many prestigious awards including the highest honor, The Hall of Fame Medal. He also served on the Executive Committee of the National Associates Forum and was a member of the Sterling Group.

He was a devoted husband to Mary-Therese (nee Bukvic), loving father to Nathan, Chelsea, Kristin, and Joseph, and grandfather to Mason. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Voracek, Joan Rhea and Jane Milczewski (Joe) along with brothers-in-law Thomas Bukvic (Judy), James Bukvic (Camille) and Joseph Bukvic (Sharon). As a caring and generous uncle, he will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his in-laws Joseph and Audrey (Weir) Bukvic and was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Dorothy (Vopat) Voracek.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, January 23 from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the DeJohn Flynn-Mylott funeral home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop and Route 91).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 24 at St. John of the Cross, 140 Richmond Road, Euclid. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
