Phyllis Bechtol

PHYLLIS E. BECHTOL (nee Clasen) age 89, beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Patricia Kline (husband Regis) of North Carolina and Peggy Flanigan (husband James) of North Ridgeville; devoted grandmother of Regina Bostic (husband Michael), Joseph Kline (wife Amy), Jamie Sado (husband Brad), Robert Flanigan (wife Amy) and great-grandmother of Emerson, Michael, John, Thomas, Steven, Addison and Tyler; cherished daughter of the late Fred and Eleanor (nee Von Lehnden) Clasen; dearest sister of the late Robert Clasen (wife Peggy, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Phyllis was born on October 10, 1927 in Euclid, Ohio and passed away on February 23, 2017 in High Point, North Carolina. She graduated from Euclid High School in 1945. Phyllis was a homemaker until her girls were grown and then worked for Stewart Drugs in Greensburg, Pennsylvania as a secretary and office manager and later at Champion Laundry in Etna, Pennsylvania as a secretary and office manager until retirement in 1986.  She enjoyed doing activities with Special Needs children and volunteering with Meals on Wheels. She loved playing bridge and golf. Phyllis was an excellent cook and loved gardening, especially caring for her azaleas. She will be remembered most as a loving, caring, selfless and hard working woman. Phyllis was devoted to her family and always put others first. She was an outgoing and very social woman with a sense of humor. Phyllis will be dearly missed.
