(nee Bordonaro); loving father of Karyn Stovicek (husband Donald, deceased), Margaret (Ladan) Hansbury (husband Peter), Mary Jo Carter (husband Don, deceased), and Nicole Pappas (husband Thomas); devoted grandfather of Christina Stovicek (fiancé Mark Rubino), Rachel Kolecky (husband Michael), Deanna Oliphant (husband David), Scott Ladan and Daniel Carter; cherished son of the late Tulio and Ann (nee Vercella); dearest brother of Rose Gagalone (husband Charles, deceased), Mary and Josephine Cervelli and the late Loretta Marullo (husband Frank, deceased); treasured brother-in-law of Frank Bordonaro; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Phillip was born on January 8, 1929 in Cleveland and passed away on October 18, 2019. He was a resident of Wickliffe for 60 years, formerly residing in Cleveland. Phil was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran. He was a member and server at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (Wickliffe). Phil worked for Catepillar Inc. as a machinist. He loved bowling and golf. Phil was a huge Browns fan and OSU fan. He will be remembered most as an easy going, fun, social, funny man who was liked by all. Phil was devoted to his family and faith. He will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (Wickliffe) at 10 AM. Entombment following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Phil at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 3-8 PM.
