PETER P. SURSO age 92, beloved husband for 67 years of Patricia (nee Diedrich); loving father of Susan Corbett (husband Grant) and Joan Jeunnette (husband Douglas); devoted grandfather of Katie Hacker (husband Todd), twins Kellee Flatt (husband Jeremy) and Kimberly Corbett, Leah and Andrew Jeunnette (wife Erin) and great-grandfather of Anna, Stephen and Lincoln; dearest brother of the late Michael, William, Julia Peters, John, Mary Inmen and Helen Tech; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. World War II U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
Peter was born on July 9th, 1925 in Cleveland and passed away on May 28, 2018. He was a resident of Highland Heights, previously Seven Hills. Peter belonged to the Organ Society, was a board member of United Cerebral Palsy, and a proud WWII U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He graduated from East Tech High School in 1943 and furthered his education at Ohio State University. Peter Proudly worked as a Sales Engineer for Ferro Corp and retired in 1982. He greatly enjoyed building furniture and traveling the east coast. Peter enjoyed listening to music, especially Polkas and organ music. He was hardworking, honest, and had high integrity. Peter was faithful to his family and loved spending time with them. He was social and strongly believed in education. Peter will be dearly missed by all.
Celebration of Life Service MONDAY June 4, 2018 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will take place with Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Peter at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
