PERO MATIC age 76, beloved husband for 51 years of Sofija (nee Milicevic); loving father of John (wife Christine), Josie, Joe (wife Anita) and the late Baby Anton; devoted grandfather to John, Danny, Nikolas, Colin and affectionately known as Dedo to Maria, Alyssa and Joey; dearest brother of Smiljka (husband Ivica) and Niko (wife Ruzica); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Pero was born on April 6, 1941 in Vrela, Bosnia-Herzegovina to the late Ivo and Anda Matic, and passed away on June 18, 2017. He was a resident of Kirtland for 20 years, formerly of Richmond Heights. Pero was a member of St. Paul Croatian Church. He married his beloved wife in Paris, France and they moved to the United States of America in 1967. For many years Pero worked as a tool and die maker for National Acme. He will be remembered most as a dedicated, detail oriented, quiet and reserved man who was proud of his family. Ever since coming to America, Pero and Sofija enjoyed working in the garden together. Pero enjoyed working on projects around the house. Mostly he adored spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Divine Word Catholic Church at 10 AM, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Pero at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Wednesday 4-8 PM.
