Peggy O. Jakab

PEGGY  O.  JAKAB (nee Bayrd), passed away Feb. 21, 2025, aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Theodore M., dearest mother of Patricia, Christopher, Gregory (Jill) and Theodore, loving grandmother of Melissa (Mike), Kevin (Liz), Megan (Nick), David (Megan), Lauryn (Jamie), Jenna (Casey), Amanda (Shaun), Alivia (Dylan) and Michael, cherished great-grandmother of 14, treasured sister of the late Nella Jean Friess, fond aunt and great-aunt. 

Peggy worked full-time at University Hospital until she turned 80 years of age. She loved her job; she loved her staff, and she loved the patients she met through all her years. In her spare time Peggy loved to travel, go to the casino and spend her children's inheritance (just kidding she wasn't a high roller), read books, loved a good Johnny Mathis song and always loved talking to her friends on the phone. 

Mom loved life every day and loved every individual that she met along her journey. We will miss mom, but she has done an amazing job raising her children and being the best granny / gammie to her grandchildren. Until we see you again. We love you so much and thank you for everything you have done for all of us throughout the years. The family would like to thank the staff at the facility for their wonderful care and love for our mom during her stay. We are forever grateful to everyone.

Funeral services Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Interment following in Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Peggy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
