PAULINE M. KALINIC (nee Stahl) age 79, beloved wife of 54 years to Steve; loving mother of Steven (deceased) (wife Kristine), Stephanie Shook (husband James), and Veronica Golenberke (husband Daniel); devoted grandmother of Steven (wife Chelsea), Michael, and Joseph Kalinic and Madison Shook, and great-grandmother of Hannah Kalinic; dearest sister of the late Carl Stahl and Michael Stahl; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Pauline was born on October 22, 1941 in Cleveland, and passed away peacefully in her home on November 22, 2020. She resided in Gates Mills for the past 30 years, previously a resident of Mayfield Heights. She graduated from Regina High School and Notre Dame College. Pauline worked as a High School Math and Proficiency Teacher in the Cleveland Metropolitan School system. Pauline served as a Eucharistic Minister for the Church of St. Clare and enjoyed bringing communion to the sick in hospitals and homes. Her many hobbies included bowling, swimming, reading, playing cards, watching the Cleveland Indians play baseball, and she even played the accordion. What brought her the most joy in life was spending time with family, taking her grandkids to Indians games, and traveling all over the world with her husband, Steve. Holidays, especially Christmas, were a favorite time of year to play games and bake cookies. Pauline is described by her family as loving, kind, giving, and helpful. She was soft hearted, and always found the good in everyone. She will be missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Clare Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Pauline at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-7 PM.
