Paulette Lanese

(nee Amato) age 75, beloved wife of the late Thomas A. “Tommy”; loving mother of Therese Lanese-Turkish (husband Mike); devoted grandmother of Geneva and Roman Turkish; cherished daughter of the late Sebastian “Bus” and Theresa “Tree” (nee Tirabasso) Amato; dearest sister of Rosemarie “Ro” Wehr (husband Mark “Comp”, deceased) and the late Charles “Chuck” Amato; treasured sister-in-law of Bonnie and Mary Jane Lanese; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many; Angel to all. Survived by her loving granddog Thor and preceded in death by her canine companion Misty and granddog Zeus.

Paulette Lanese was born on February 12, 1945 in Cleveland and passed away on September 13, 2020.  She was a resident of Chardon for eight years, formerly of South Euclid and Euclid.  Paulette was a member of Saint Helen Catholic Church.  She graduated from Euclid High School in 1963 and worked in medical billing prior to her retirement. Paulette was a member of West Geauga Senior Center, volunteer for Parkinson Disease and several events involving the senior community in Geauga County.  Paulette loved to dance to any song with a good beat, especially the songs from the 1950s and 1960s.  Paulette exercised regularly and her favorite sport to participate in was boxing.  Paulette was a fabulous cook; she regularly shared her meals with others in order to brighten the day of family and friends.  Her son-in-law, Mike, enjoyed making new recipes for Paulette on Sundays.  Paulette had several friends, many from her childhood; they would socialize on a regular basis.  Paulette loved children and animals, especially “her” Misty and grand dogs, the late Zeus and Thor.  Paulette’s greatest joy in life was spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, Geneva and Roman.  Paulette will be remembered for being genuine, loyal, outgoing, generous and honest.  Paulette loved to laugh; the simple things in life brought her great joy.  Paulette was devoted to her family and friends.  If you had the fortune of calling Paulette – family or friend; you have been blessed to have such a beautiful human being touch your life.  If you met her; you loved her.  Paulette was unforgettable.  Paulette went from being the most lovely person in the world to an angel the moment her eyes closed for the last time.  It is an understatement to say Paulette will be greatly missed…
