PAULA ISSA MAROUN, age 43, entered eternal life on Saturday March 30 following a 7-year battle with cancer, showing strength, dignity, and grace.
Beloved wife for 11 years of Mark, loving and devoted mother to Madeline and Maya; cherished daughter of Marghrit (nee Dib) and the late Issa Adel Issa; dearest sister of Adel Issa (wife Abir) and Issam Issa (wife Norma, deceased); treasured daughter-in-law of Fariz and the late Madeline (née Gantous) Maroun; cherished sister-in-law to Afaf Nykulak (husband Nicholas), Jihan, Afif, Darline, Lody Asmar (husband Joseph), Maroun (wife Lori), Tony and Johnny (wife Eva); loving niece, aunt, great-aunt, Godmother and friend of many.
Paula was born in Kuwait on July 25, 1980, was raised in Syria and moved to the United States in 2000. She found good in all circumstances and people, and her family meant everything to her as she enjoyed gathering and spending time with her loved ones. Paula was a talented artist, a multifaceted beauty industry professional specializing as a medical esthetician, educator, and makeup artist, with a passion for styling others. Paula also loved to travel to Syria and Lebanon. She also loved World Cup Soccer and rooted for Germany’s team. Deeply faithful and an active member of her church, Paula was charismatic, exuding love and light and touching countless lives. Her family will remember her as a ray of sunshine, full of life, positive and always giving and the life of a party with a great sense of humor. She was beautiful inside and out and she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her and will live on in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are requested to MEET AT CHURCH for the Divine Liturgy that will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at 10 AM at St. Maron Catholic Church, 1245 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland, OH. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Paula at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 4-8 PM. Prayers of Incense service at 7 pm.
