PAUL A. PRETO, JR. age 71, beloved husband for 40 years of Cindy (nee Potochnik); cherished son of Paul, Sr. and Helen (nee Dunn); dearest brother of Jack (Jan), Bob, Frank, Anna Mae Miller, Margaret, Ellen Jean Dodaro, Tim (Sue), and the late Pat, Mike (Denise), Tom, and Maureen; brother-in-law of Frank and David (Donna) Potochnik; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Paul was born in Cleveland on June 26, 1950 and passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022 after a heroic battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was an active and lifetime member and usher at St. Jerome Catholic Church, as well as an active member of the Holy Name Society, the Right to Life Group, Irish American Club Eastside, and F.O.E. Paul worked 34 years for the Bratenahl Service Department, and previously worked for the YMCA Rolling-Y Ranch in Carrollton, OH. His interests included bowling, bocci, volleyball, and playing cards. He enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and Ireland, as well as cruises and bus trips with family and friends. Paul will be remembered for his smile and fun-loving personality. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 15000 Lakeshore Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44110 at 10 a.m. Entombment following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Paul at the MULLALLY FUNERAL HOME located in the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD, (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Monday 4 – 8 p.m.
