Paul E. Posatiere, Jr.

June 19, 1951 — March 14, 2025

Willoughby

PAUL E. POSATIERE, JR. age 73, beloved father of Laura (Pickering) Gunnoe (husband Jamey) (husband Edward Pickering deceased) and Lana Dawson (husband George); devoted grandfather of Chase “2 Base Chase”, Gabriella “Chipmunk” Gunnoe, Tyler “Sarge” Dawson and Lacey “Lou Lou” Dawson; cherished son of the late Paul Sr. and Rose (nee Calire); dearest brother of Joyce Donato (husband Vince, Sr.); dear uncle of Vince & Donna Donato and Paul Sr. & Patty Donato and great-uncle of Vince III, Mia, Angelo, Paul Jr, Hailey and Emily; cousin and friend of many. Former husband of Linda Kumler (nee Hecey) (husband Rick).

Paul, a wonderful and loving father and grandfather, began his life on June 19, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, grew up in Lyndhurst and graduated from Brush High School with the Class of 1969. Following in his father’s footsteps, he became joint owner of Deluxe Heating & Cooling, partnering with Vince Donato, Sr. for 50 years.

Beyond work responsibilities, Paul had diverse and active interests. He was an avid “Indians” fan, who enjoyed golfing, all types of sports and spending time at the shooting range. American history was of great interest to Paul, especially anything regarding Gettysburg. He was a member of the Italian American Brotherhood Club, the NE Civil War Round Table, the Mulligan Golf League and the Case Golf League at Pine Ridge, where he had a hole-in-one on Hole #4. Always a man of faith, he grew up as a parishioner of St. Clare Church.

Paul’s large circle of long-time friends were also a cherished part of his life. He had many lunch and dinner groups, who will miss his funny and wonderful sense of humor. Paul had a special impact on all who knew him.

For Paul, however, children and grandchildren held the biggest part of his heart. His two daughters, Laura and Lana, were a highlight of his life and they provided him with four grandchildren. With great fondness, he had a special nickname for each grandchild and it became apparent that attending their sporting events was why he lived and breathed.

Paul passed away suddenly on March 14, 2025 and will be forever missed by his devoted family and circle of friends.
