PAUL ERWIN FISCHER age 86, beloved husband for 30 years of Barbara (nee O’Brien); loving father of Monica (Jim) Pope, Sean (Lisa) Smith, Cathleen (Jim) Carlo, and Kelly Milne; devoted grandfather of Malachi (Madeline), Samantha, Nick, Nathan, Meaghan, Erin, Reilly, Brett, and Morgan; cherished son of the late Erwin and Theresa (nee Oberlacher); dearest brother of Ruth Fischer; dear uncle and brother-in-law of many.
Paul was born on October 21, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He proudly served in the United States Army.
Strong in his faith, he was dedicated to attending services and events at his church.
Paul was an enthusiast of automotives, Chris-Craft Boats, and more than anything, locomotives. His love and passion for trains was evident through his endless knowledge. Paul enjoyed being a member of the T.C.A. Brotherhood and their shared appreciation for all varieties of trains. He was extremely proud to be the creator of East Troy Railroad Museum in East Troy, Wisconsin.
Above all these things, Paul was most devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
On October 8, 2022, Paul passed away leaving his family and friends missing him endlessly.
A private celebration of his life will be held.
CREMATION AND ARRANGEMENTS ENTRUSTED TO THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
