Patrick “Bill” Malloy, Jr.

PATRICK W. “BILL” MALLOY, JR., age 83, beloved husband for 60 years of Adele (nee Macarine); loving father of Robert (wife Evelyn), John (husband Greg Shick), Mary Ellen Paul (husband Edward), and Sue Ann Zak (husband Mark); devoted grandfather of Stephanie, Jennifer, David, Justin, Alena, Kevin, Spencer, Aidan, Liam and Brenna; cherished son of the late Patrick, Sr. and Catherine (nee Prendergast); dearest brother of Helen Malloy; dear uncle and great-uncle. Pat was born on April 18, 1936, and passed away on June 10, 2019. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1954, and John Carroll University in 1958. He lived in Chagrin Falls for the last four years, where he was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, and previously lived in Lyndhurst, where he was a member of The Church of St. Clare. Pat was a member of the Emerald Civic Society, which celebrates the social and cultural life of Cleveland’s Irish-American community. He was active in his church, serving on the finance and the renewal committees, and working bingo. Pat enjoyed golfing and bowling, and had a talent for making stained glass. He was fond of taking cruises and traveling, especially to Arizona and Ireland. Pat was outgoing and friendly, and he loved to socialize. He was a giving, generous, hardworking man who was faithful to his family and his church. Pat will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church 18205 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Patrick at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
