Patricia L. Smolik

PATRICIA L. SMOLIK (nee JAROSZ), loving mother of Michele (Michael) Somrak, Mark (Linda) Smolik, Greg (Lorrie) Smolik, Danene (William) Beal, and the late James (Christine) Smolik; devoted grandmother of Katy (Brian) Soeder, Lauren (Kyle) Duke, Jim (Alex) Smolik, Matthew (Madeline) Smolik, Emily Beal, Patrick (Alexis) Beal, Brian (fiancé Katherine) Beal, Ashley Beal, and Faith Smolik and great-grandmother of Jacob and Samantha Soeder, Ruth and Lillian Smolik, Peter Beal, Noah and Leo Pease, and Lilah Duke; cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (nee Turk) Jarosz; dearest sister of Bruce (Debbie) Jarosz; dear aunt of Becky, Mandy, Jacqui, and their children who loved her dearly. 

Patricia was born on May 10, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a realtor for 42 years and proudly owned and operated Gallery Realty. As both a realtor and servant leader, Pat helped many people find their forever homes and had a love for new construction and home design. After retiring from real estate she worked for her son Greg’s business, Best Solutions Medical, for 16 years, retiring shortly before her passing. Pat was also a true artist at heart. Her talents extended from her love of oil painting to collecting art and attending art shows. Pat held many friendships over the years and truly treasured the memories made with those of the Chesapeake Cove Red Hats. Above all things, Pat truly loved her family and always put her family first. Her involvement with her children, as they grew, extended from attending school events to serving as a Scout Leader. Family gatherings continued as her children began to have families of their own. She enjoyed the large family vacations taken over the years, especially the one to Disney World. Pat passed away on November 22, 2024, at Holy Family Hospice. She leaves her family and friends missing her amazing pies, cream puffs and beautifully decorated cakes, but most importantly missing the mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who cared more about your wellbeing than hers. She truly left a forever imprint on your heart if you knew her.

Cremation entrusted to DeJohn Crematory. 

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Patricia at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 4-8 PM. 

Please meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 5, 2024, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, OH 44060, at 10 AM.
