Patricia M. Hanson

Patricia M. Hanson (nee Burtnett), age 82, of Willoughby, OH died June 19, 2017 at Hospice House. She was born November 14, 1934 to the late Clarence and Mae (nee Llewellyn) Burtnett in Teaneck, New Jersey. Patricia graduated from Collinwood High School in 1953 and married her husband Clinton on October 1, 1955. They lived in South Euclid before moving to Euclid in 1961.

Patricia was a long-time member of Nottingham Baptist Church and belonged to the Senior Saints Group. Patricia spent most of her life as a homemaker but she also worked as a cashier for the Atrium Restaurant at Higbee’s, was a sales associate for JC Penny in the catalog department, and a receptionist at a physician’s and veterinarian office. Patricia was an animal lover and volunteered at the Euclid Animal Shelter for many years.  Her family described her as an extremely loving and caring person who was quick to help and slow to judge.

Patricia is survived by her children, Randy G. Hanson (wife Mary Jo) and Holly J. Hanson; grandchildren Hanna and Hayden Hanson; her brother Robert A. Burtnett; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Clinton P. who died in 2013; and her sister-in-law Jonna Burtnett.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for Chapel Services Saturday June 24, 2017 at 10 am at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens 11521 Chillicothe Rd. Chesterland (please meet at the cemetery gates).

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Patricia at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
