PATRICIA J. BROMLEY (nee Cummings) age 87, passed away March 29, 2013. Loving daughter of the late John and Florence Cummings. Beloved wife of the late William A. Bromley. Loving mother of Diane Sietz (husband Frank), Jeanne Tosti (husband Anthony), William (wife Ilona) and John (wife Pamela). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Morton, Colleen Insana, Kelly Walser, Christina Sammet, Matthew and Michael Bromley, and great-grandmother of Nina Insana, Caitlyn and Bryan Morton, and Diana Walser. Cherished sister of Ruth O’Connor and the late Thomas Cummings and Mary Kay Mungovan.
Patricia was the oldest of four children and was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She was the mother of four children, grandmother of six, and great grandmother of four. During World War II she was married in New York City and lived there briefly while her husband served in the armed forces. In 1958 she and her family moved from Chicago to a home in Richmond Heights where she resided for over 50 years. She was an active participant in many Richmond Heights community organizations including the Richmond Heights Friendship Club, the Garden Club, and Bridge Club, and was also past president of the Richmond Heights Seniors Club. She had many hobbies over the years including painting in oils and water colors and sewing, and she enjoyed doing crafts and home improvement projects. In her earlier years Patricia was an avid golfer and bowler in community leagues. She also took great joy in flower and vegetable gardening and shared the fruits of her labor with family and friends.
A private memorial service for family was held with interment at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements by Dejohn Funeral Homes & Crematory of Willoughby Hills, 440-516-5555.
