Patricia A. “Patty” Garbo

PATRICIA A. “Patty” GARBO (nee Burkhardt) age 66, beloved wife of Philip; loving mother of Jacob, Teelea Nii, Philip Joseph Jr. “Flippy,” and John Roger “J.R.”; devoted grandmother of Cora Ann Pollard and Nyssa Skye Kameali’i Nii; cherished daughter of the late Owen and Beatrice Burkhardt; dearest sister of Barbara Osborne and Carolyn Cornwall; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Patty was born on December 26, 1951 in Cleveland and passed away on September 4, 2018.  She was a resident of Novelty for 32 years, but her heart resided in Texas.  She graduated from Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas and went on to pursue a certificate in interior design and eventually received her advanced manicurist license from the Ohio Board of Cosmetology as well.  Patty was a marathon runner who ran in the Revco and Boston Marathons.  She was an artist who enjoyed painting, creating nail art, making award winning costumes, and many personalized crafts for friends and family.  Patty was an amazing mother and grandmother and always put family first and as such threw the most legendary birthday/Halloween bashes.  Patty loved animals especially her pit bull Pecos and would always try to help an animal in need.  She was an aerobics/yoga instructor and most recently was known for her nail art.  She will be remembered most as an energetic, creative, spiritual, empathetic and compassionate woman.  She will be greatly missed.
