Pamela Ann Sweeney

PAMELA ANN SWEENEY (nee Parker) age 83, of Highland Heights, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018;  She was the loving wife of 59 years of James F. and cherished mother of Kathleen Guarente (husband Garry), James F. III (wife Shari), Lynn McMahon (husband Louis), Anne Mooney (husband John), Laura Shewalter (husband Frank), and Jacqueline Sweeney (husband Mark Rogozinski); devoted grandmother of Sheila, Patrick, Alexandra, Terrance, Luke, Colin, Leslie, Claire, Nicholas, Jessica, Daniel and the late Pamela Grace; cherished daughter of the late Walter and Una (nee Harris) Parker; dearest sister of Larry Parker and the late Robert and David Parker; treasured sister-in law of Patricia Hanson; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Pamela was a graduate of Villa Angela Academy and while raising six children she earned her bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University in 1984.  Pamela volunteered at the Hospice of Western Reserve, Cleveland Food Bank, American Cancer Society, Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas and the Cleveland Adult Education program, where she was Volunteer of the Year.   She shared her gift of singing with the choirs of St. Margaret Mary and St. Francis of Assisi and at many parties.  Pamela was known for her beautiful renditions of “Danny Boy” and “Amazing Grace.”   Pamela had a sparkling personality and a beautiful smile.

Contributions may be made in memory of Pamela to Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 AM. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory.  Private Burial at All Souls Cemetery.
