Olga M. Horvath

OLGA M. HORVATH (nee Centa) age 98, beloved wife of the late Louis S.; loving mother of Mary Lou Fuhry (husband David), Louis S. Jr. (wife Jeanne), and Irene McAllister (husband Keith); devoted grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 12; cherished daughter of the late Karl and Frances (nee Turk) Centa; dearest sister of Ernest Centa (wife Lillian), and the late Frances Opaskar (husband Vincent, deceased), Charles, and Emil Centa (wife Mary Ann); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Olga was born on October 14, 1920 in Cleveland and passed away on January 19, 2019. She was a resident of Jennings Center for Older Adults in Garfield Heights for 3 years, previously residing in South Euclid. Olga was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in South Euclid and was currently a parishioner St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heard of Jesus Parish. Within her church community she was active in Lecture and RCIA. She graduated from Ursuline High School in 1938 and Ursuline College in 1942. Olga proudly worked as a High School English Teacher and in Adult Education for Cleveland City Schools. She was an accomplished poet and very active in church functions. Olga enjoyed listening to orchestra music in her free time and was an avid reader. She cherished the time spent with family and friends. Olga was loving, giving, kind, and faithful. She was intellectual, witty, and intelligent. Olga will be dearly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish 1545, South Green Road, South Euclid, OH 44121 at 11 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Olga at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 3-7 PM.
